I have visited Calella de Palafrugell many times and have always loved the boats on the waterfront. The buildings provide a charming and interesting backdrop, right on the water’s edge.

For this painting, I predominantly used a palette knife on a whole painting for the first time. I am delighted with how the blue boat’s dominance blends with the buildings behind.
