In this painting I was experimenting with my technique and the way in which I could obtain the effect of the glaze on the pot. I was drawn to this scene by the contrast between the vibrancy of the pot against the neutral tones of the background.

I enjoy still life painting as it challenges me on composition and the interplay of objects and negative space.
